About Milk Glass & the MILK Collection: Opal glass is known for its ‘foggy’ look, giving it a milk-ish touch, hence the name for the collection. The shades of colored milk glass are created by a variety of chemical compounds, such as tin oxide, calcined bones or fluorspar being added during the glass-making process. The color is infused fully through the glass and is not painted on.
